MS Silver Spirit Cruise Review for 2011

MS Silver Spirit Cruise Review for 2011

The MS Silver Spirit is one of the cruise ships of the Silversea Cruses. The MS Silver Spirit is the 6th and largest of their cruise ships and was released in 2009. It boasts an 8300 square foot spa area. It has 270 ocean view suites so all of its suites have ocean views so there are no inside suites to choose from that have no ocean view. And 85% of the ocean view suites have a private veranda. There are six restaurants and a supper club; there is live music on board and a night club too. MS Silver Spirit is a third generation luxury cruise ship for this line.

Among the restaurants is an Asian themed restaurant also. The dining is open seating so you can sit where you would like too. The cruise ship is 36,000 tonnes and is 642 feet long. It can carry 540 guests so it is a smaller cruise ship that is a bit more intimate in feel. The fare includes all tips on board and complementary beverages. There is a resort style pool with whirl pools. The ship offers many programs on board such as enrichment lectures and work shops.

One of the tours is a 12 day tour from Los Angeles to Tahiti where you can enjoy snorkeling or a black pearl farm visit. There is also a 17 day Auckland NZ and Sydney Australia cruise. An example of one of their cruise itinerates from Auckland to Sydney is a stop at Steward Island. It has untouched beauty and an unhurried pace. Because the island is quite remote and the reason for the visit is to see the island. The walk to town is approximately 20-30 minutes. Taxis are limited. Isn’t this what the cruise life is all about? Yes. There are a few excursions but this is a stop for beauty.
