Monarch of the Seas has often been referred to as a floating Vegas due to the fact that it offers a wide variety of shows, drinking, gambling, and fun for everyone. However, there are also some calmer activities for those that are not big into the party scene. So, no matter whether you like to party or want a more relaxing atmosphere there is something for everyone.

Entertainment on Monarch of the Seas is widely varied. A big part of the entertainment world on this ship is based around music. There are live musicians that perform all through the day. There are instrumental performances on the 3rd Deck at Centrum. On the 5th Deck is the main showroom that offers the Sound of Music Theater. There are evening performances from singers and dancers. Another feature of Deck 5 is the Schooner Bar, which offers a magnificent view of the sea and a big screen television for sports fans and enthusiasts. In the evening there is light piano music. Casino Royale caters to gamblers. There are also free lessons offered here. If you like dancing, Boleros on the 7th Deck is the place for you. There is a Latin feel to the bar. If disco is more your style, you will enjoy the Circuit. There is a mini mall for all your shopping needs located on the 5th Deck. There is also a business center located on the 7th Deck of the ship that offers three meeting rooms and conference areas.

The cabins of Monarch of the Seas are completely updated. Beds convert from twin to queen size. There is a private bath in all cabins. There are also hair dryers, televisions, telephones, and radios. Evening turndown service is provided and chocolates are left on the pillows. Higher priced suites offer exquisite views of the ocean and roomy balconies. There are also windows that run floor to ceiling and special sitting areas within the rooms. Staterooms offer refrigerators and safes for your valuables.

Dining on Monarch of the Seas is considerably good even though there are nearly 10,000 meals produced daily. There is a wide variety of food available. There are two main dining halls that can hold roughly 700 guests each. There is open seating available for breakfast and lunch and assigned dinner seating twice a night. The Windjammer Café is another dining option and offers breakfast, lunch, and snacks. There is a breakfast buffet that offers many food choices. There is a pizza station on the ship and a sandwich Deli. There is an Asian restaurant on the ship if you prefer Asian food. If you prefer to dine in your room, there is 24 hour room service available.
