Reviews:
The cruise was good except there were too many kids on board, they were in "hot-tubs-Spa"without supervison, jumping and swimming. We were sitting in tubs, and were being hit and scratch from this kids. This was reported, but we were told if we didn't like it, that then we should go to another "hot-tub-Spa". But since there isn't many ships leaving from Houston or Galveston, we really didn't have big choice of traveling, unless if we would leave from another port in another state.

We had really awsome service at dinner, great companions, this was the best vacation we ever had. We have taken many cruises, and our waiters were excellent. This was probably the best part of the cruise. Entertainment was also great. There was a great band on this cruise. They were really good!

Carnival Conquest is simply the best!
This was our first cruise and must admitt we were very satisfied with the excellent food, shows, activities and the port of calls that the Carnival Cruise line offered. We were also very satisfied with the Cabin Steward in keeping the clean room and ready for us at any time. We enjoyed meeting new friends on the cruise and also enjoyed talking to the very friendly and ready to serve staff! It was great experiance!

Getting on and off the ship was the best and easiest process of the whole jurney.
The cruise it's self was nothing special. Ship too big and very hard to get around. I felt like a number, not at all personal. The disembarkation process was beyond a nightmare and I left a terrible last impression. I would never cruise this line again.

Caribbean Cruises: Pack Your Luggage Properly For A Cruise

Caribbean Cruises presents topic: Pack Your Luggage Properly For A Cruise
Packing luggage for a cruise is very similar to packing for a land based vacation in a similar climate conditions, but there are few exceptions.

Start with the selection of your wardrobe couple of weeks prior your cruise. Choose a couple of colors that work together, so that what you bring can be easily combined and matched. Then you should try on everything you plan to wear. This way you'll ensure each item is suitable and doesn't need any cleaning or alterations.
Make a list of items you need, but don't have. Then buy it (sandals, rain slicker, bathing suit).
Pack comfortable clothes for daytime. On majority of cruise ships, shorts and t-shirts are just fine; your "causal Friday out" outfits should be fine for most evenings.
Bring one bathing suit and a cover-up, you don't need beach towels, you'll get them on board!
You will most likely need at least 3 pairs of shoes: rubber-soled shoes for walking on the deck, pair of sandals or some other comfortable shoes for walking on land and pair of "fancy"shoes for evening. Pack at least one pair of underwear and socks for each day of the cruise.
Add a hat, sunglasses, travel clock and batteries or chargers for your camera.

Extra tip:
Make a list of all the clothing and personal items you'll need on your vacation. When you depart, keep the list in your carry-on bag. If your checked luggage is lost or stolen (hopefully not!), you'll have a record of what was in it.

Caribbean Cruises - Simple facts

Caribbean Cruises - Simple facts

With more than 6,900 islands to choose from in the Caribbean Sea, major cruise companies regularly schedule cruises to approx. 30 Caribbean islands throughout the year. This wide selection of island paradises in the Caribbean attracts more cruises than anywhere else on this planet. According to the official Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) the Caribbean together with the Bahamas has a 45% share of the cruise market.

Caribbean Cruises are offered year-round from Cape Canaveral, Miami, Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale, New Orleans, Galveston and San Juan, Puerto Rico. With so many islands, Caribbean cruises often include stops at one or two islands on 3-day cruises and as many as 5 islands on 7-day cruises. Major cruise lines offering regularly scheduled cruises to the Caribbean are the following: Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Carnival Cruise Lines, Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line and Holland America. Cruise lines typically offer Eastern Caribbean Cruises, Western Caribbean Cruises, Southern Caribbean Cruises or Special Caribbean cruise itineraries. The island destinations visited on Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises are located reasonably close to south Florida. Southern Caribbean cruises visit islands adjacent to Puerto Rico and just off the coast of South America. Therefore many cruises lines depart from San Juan, Puerto Rico on Southern Caribbean Cruises. Special Caribbean Cruises are usually few days longer than other (usually 10 or 11 days) and circle the entire Caribbean allowing passengers to experience islands in each area.

Eastern Caribbean Cruises usually include calls on islands located between Florida and Puerto Rico. Eastern Caribbean Cruise ports may include St. Thomas, St. John's, St. Maarten (US Virgin Islands), San Juan (Puerto Rico) and Tortola and Virgin Gorda (British Virgin Islands). Nassau (New Providence Island) is technically in the Bahamas, but many cruise lines stop in Nassau on their Eastern Caribbean Cruises.

Western Caribbean Cruises include visits to islands southern of Cuba, especially Jamaica and the Cayman Islands are very popular as well as ports near Cancun on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Some Central American countries are also included in Western Caribbean Cruises. Ports of call on Western Caribbean Cruises include Key West (Florida), Georgetown (Grand Cayman Island), Ocho Rios (Jamaica), Playa del Carmen, Costa Maya and Progreso (Mexico) and Belize City (Belize).

Southern Caribbean Cruises include calls in the islands eastern and southern from Puerto Rico as well as islands just off the coast of South America. Southern Caribbean ports of call often include Aruba, Barbados, Curacao, Dominica, Guadeloupe Grenada, Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. John and Trinidad. Many Southern Caribbean Cruises depart from San Juan, Puerto Rico because these destinations are located so far south of Florida.

Special Caribbean Cruises are also offered by the major cruise lines. These cruises either depart from south Florida on a long cruise to the southern Caribbean islands or they circle the Caribbean visiting up to 6 islands. Since the southern islands of the Caribbean are 1,000 miles south of Florida, Southern Caribbean Cruises from Florida simply require more time.
